May I extend a warm welcome back to school and in particular to Year 2! I hope that you have all had an enjoyable summer break and feel refreshed for the start of another exciting year.

Reminders:

Our PE lessons each week are Tuesday and Thursday. Children will need to come to school dressed in their correct P.E kits.

Group reading takes place 3 times a week and your child must bring their reading book in to school daily. I cannot emphasise enough the importance of continuing to hear your child read at home on a daily basis and in particular, to begin to support the development of comprehension skills, through discussion and questioning.

Inside your child's reading record, you will find their Numbots and TTRockstars (Times Table Rockstars) login details. Please encourage your child to access Numbots at home on a phone, tablet or computer to help with their Maths learning.

When using Numbots:

Go to Numbots on a digital device.
Enter your child's login details.
Start with Story Mode.
Complete the activities to move up through the levels.

The Children have been shown how to use it however they may need a little help the first time they log in at home.
