Hello and welcome to the Roald Dahl class page! I am Miss Rudgley and I hope you have all enjoyed a fabulous summer break! We are delighted to have the opportunity to work with you and your child this academic year.

We can't wait to embark on an exciting learning journey, full of exciting activities and lots of fun! We are excited to continue to work in close partnership with parents and carers and to watch and support your children to achieve their full potential in Year 2.

Important Class Information!

PE

Our class PE day is a Thursday. Please ensure that your child comes dressed in an appropriate PE kit.
Children with pierced ears must ensure that earrings are not worn on PE days or that they are covered with plasters.

Homework

Year 2 will be set both maths and reading homework.

Maths homework will be done through 'Times Table Rock Stars'. Children are expected to access this at least three times per week for 15 minutes in total (five minutes per session). Weekly certificates will be given for TTRS.

 Children will also bring home a decodable book or a colour-banded book, as well as a book for pleasure. Please ensure that your child is reading at home.

Homework will be checked every Monday.
