Welcome back– We hope you had a great summer and have come back

refreshed and ready for another exciting year!

Home work is handed out on a Friday and is to be handed in by the

following Wednesday.

Our P.E. day is a Thursday. Don’t forget to keep up with your reading and note your progress in your reading diary– make sure you bring this in each day as you will also need it to change books and for guided reading. Keep working on your times tables as there will be tests most weeks too!

This week if you did a task from the homework grid last week then you don’t need to do one this week– just the work books. From now on we will do a task from the homework grid every other week instead of one every week.

Feb Half Term

Next half term on the week beginning the 19th March we will be holding our annual science week under the theme “Flight”. Just like last year each key stage group will be holding a science fair in the hall.

For your homework you need to start collecting ideas for experiments or demonstrations that you could use for the science fair. They must be to do with flight and use resources that can be easily found. There are plenty of ideas on the internet but have a chat with people you know and see if they have any ideas you could use too. The more you find the better!

There is no homework in the workbooks this week– have a week off for good behaviour!!!

Instead we would like everybody to choose a task from the homework grid and make a really good job of it. If you are stuck watching the royal wedding there will be plenty of boring bits in which you could get some of your homework done ;)

For homework this week year 5’s need to take your song words home for “Northwich Sings” and learn as many of them off by heart as you can. The concert is a week on Tuesday so you need to know them all by then!
